INFUSED VINEGARS

The infusion of vinegars with fruits, flowers, herbs, roots and spices has been going for just as long as vinegars been fermenting. Similar to clear alcohols, certain vinegars (such as Apple Cider Vinegar) imbibe the properties and flavours of things they are infused with. Of course, the process requires a few weeks and the combination of ingredients is where all the fun lies.

FIRE CIDERS

Infused apple cider vinegar is referred to as Fire Cider. Herbalists across the western world have been infusing apple cider vinegar for years with each herbalist having their own special blend of ingredients and thereby their own combination of flavours and benefits. The whole affair was organised, made approachable and accessible by herbalist Rosemary Gladstar in the 1970s. She is also responsible for Coining the term Fire Cider. This renaissance gave rise to a host of exciting, original and surprising flavours. We have followed the vien and dabbled with flavours and ingredients of our region,To express our own take on the infused ACV culture.
