The Langra mango, originally from the Banaras area, is believed to have been developed over 250 years ago by a farmer who, according to legend was physically disabled, "lame" and so the variety he developed was called Langra, Hindi for "lame". Rather on the nose origin of the name, whether true or not its an odd history which is always of interest to us.

Typically harvested from end of June through to the second half of July. It's the peak monsoon mango for us. In our family we always finish a session of serious langra consumption with a glass of hot A2 milk.

Each carton weight 5kgs averaging to 24 mangoes a carton. Naturally ripening mangoes directly from our orchards to your doorstep.
