The summer and the monsoon might be behind us but the beautiful traditions of our country allow us to experience each fruit, each vegetable, in different ways all year round. This Mango Chutney is one such delicious way to experience raw mangoes all year round. Tangy (but of course) and sweet. The perfect companion for a kadhi chawal meal, to tenderise some meat when marinating, chuck in a tbsp of it in a salad dressing, whisk some in a barbecue sauce, dilute it and drizzle over a super spicy stir fried root veggie and the list goes on.
Kids have been known to eat almost anything with a dollop of this chutney on the side of their plate. Our grandmothers and mothers knew exactly what they were doing when they made different chutneys and pickles. Here is one of our family offerings. We hope you enjoy it.
